How do I deal with this *MULE* in my office?

a very common complaint.It's called incompetent superiors.I had somebody once who would rant and rave about his personal achievements spiced with profanities and racial slurs. those types usually have friends in high places.Evaluate your situation ,if you quit you may find the same thing elsewhere. thats life.we all have to suck up to somebody some time.but on the other hand if your situation is such that your prospects of promotion are next to nothing you should look for a better job
