I dont know what to do about my boyfriend..?

we have been together 5 years now and are looking for a place to rent. its very hard though because im a hairdresser and i am on quite a low wage, he is inbetween jobs still trying to find "the right one for him" which is silly. i keep telling him he wont find a job in a trade/skill because hes 21 he is too old to get an apprenticship. but he says he needs a career and wont settle for a job in a shop or anything like that. i dont know what the best thing for him would be??? another problem is where we will move to. i live about 15 mins away from him at the moment but he says he will only live in the area he lives in now and refuses to move anywhere that isnt telford. im now stuck because i want to move to somewhere like chester or at least get away from telford i hate it!!! but he says he wants to live here for the rest of his life. this is not a mive problem like we need to break up but i just dont know what the comprimise should be... any advice would be great on his job or on where to move and what to do thankyou
