What is a fun way to teach about lifejackets?

How about bringing in some dolls? You could make little lifejackets/PFDs for them if you are at all creative or good at crafts (they wouldn't have to actually work, just look like real ones). That would be a good way to demonstrate how to use them correctly. You could have the cl practice using them on the dolls or use them to act out scenarios.
