Squishy like??

I am 18 weeks tomorrow.. I have noticed that my belly bump is really squishy in the morning, and then it gets harder as the day goes on.. lol!! i know it sounds weird.. what is that?? is the baby like.. sleeping? sorry, not trying to sound like an idiot.. this is my first.. =0) Thanks!
